Biosketch:
Cyril Gitiaux (MD, PhD) is a child neurologist and neurophysiologist at Necker Children’s Hospital (pediatric clinical neurophysiology unit and reference center for pediatric neuromuscular diseases). He follows patients with hereditary or acquired neuropathy, congenital or acquired myasthenic syndromes, arthrogryposis, myopathies, including juvenile inflammatory myositis. He supervises a translational clinical research program focusing on juvenile inflammatory myositis. He is interested in deciphering physiopathology of inflammatory myositis in children and in identifying innovative biomarkers in pediatric neuromuscular diseases, including neuropathies. He is involved in the teaching of child neurology and pediatric clinical neurophysiology with national and international collaborations. He is a member of several French and international medical societies.
